Rani Channamma University Officials Arrested For Fraud

Belagavi police have arrested three officials from Rani Channamma University in connection with a financial misappropriation exceeding ₹32 lakh. The alleged fraud involves employees' Provident Fund and National Pension System contributions. Assistant Registrar H.M. Murigesh, Sandeep Burli, and Mahesh Viresh Wali were arrested, while another accused is absconding. An internal inquiry led to a complaint, alleging that deducted PF amounts were diverted to personal accounts instead of being deposited. The investigation is ongoing to determine the full extent of the misappropriation.

बेलगावी पुलिस ने रानी चन्नम्मा यूनिवर्सिटी के तीन अधिकारियों को 32 लाख रुपये से ज़्यादा के गबन के मामले में गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोप है कि कर्मचारियों के प्रॉविडेंट फंड (PF) और नेशनल पेंशन सिस्टम (NPS) के पैसों का गलत इस्तेमाल हुआ। असिस्टेंट रजिस्ट्रार एच.एम. मुरीगेश, संदीप बर्ली और महेश विरेश वली को पकड़ा गया है, जबकि एक आरोपी फरार है। जांच चल रही है।
