Delhi CM Questions Restrictions on Girls, Urges Men to Respect Boundaries

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta has questioned societal restrictions placed on girls, asking why limitations are always imposed on them. Speaking at Maitreyi College's Diamond Jubilee, she emphasized that instead of restricting girls, boys and men should be taught proper behaviour and respect for women, understanding that 'no means no'. Gupta assured that women's safety in Delhi would not be compromised, and restrictions should not be imposed in the name of security.

दिल्ली की सीएम रेखा गुप्ता ने लड़कियों पर लगाए जाने वाले सामाजिक प्रतिबंधों पर सवाल उठाए हैं। उन्होंने पूछा कि हमेशा उन पर ही सीमाएं क्यों लगाई जाती हैं। मैत्रेयी कॉलेज के डायमंड जुबली समारोह में बोलते हुए उन्होंने जोर दिया कि लड़कियों को प्रतिबंधित करने के बजाय, लड़कों और पुरुषों को उचित व्यवहार और महिलाओं के प्रति सम्मान सिखाया जाना चाहिए, यह समझते हुए कि 'ना का मतलब ना होता है'। गुप्ता ने आश्वासन दिया कि दिल्ली में महिलाओं की सुरक्षा से कोई समझौता नहीं किया जाएगा, और सुरक्षा के नाम पर प्रतिबंध नहीं लगाए जाने चाहिए।
