FSSAI Prosecutes Firms Over Cattle-Feed Bran in Biscuits, Detergent in Milk

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has initiated prosecution against three companies for serious food safety violations. Surya Food & Agro, maker of Priyagold biscuits, is accused of using cattle-feed bran as a raw material. Dodla Dairy faces charges after its milk sample was found to contain detergent/caustic soda and was substandard due to low milk fat. UEIR Organic Foods is being prosecuted for pesticide residues found in yellow raisins. These actions highlight significant breaches of food safety regulations and consumer protection laws.

भारतीय खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक प्राधिकरण (FSSAI) ने खाद्य सुरक्षा के गंभीर उल्लंघन के लिए तीन कंपनियों के खिलाफ मुकदमा शुरू किया है। Priyagold बिस्किट बनाने वाली Surya Food & Agro पर कच्चे माल के तौर पर पशु आहार चोकर का इस्तेमाल करने का आरोप है। Dodla Dairy पर उसके दूध के नमूने में डिटर्जेंट/कास्टिक सोडा पाए जाने और कम फैट के कारण निम्न गुणवत्ता वाला होने के बाद आरोप लगाए गए हैं। UEIR Organic Foods पर पीले किशमिश में कीटनाशक अवशेष पाए जाने के लिए मुकदमा चलाया जा रहा है। ये कार्रवाई खाद्य सुरक्षा नियमों और उपभोक्ता संरक्षण कानूनों के महत्वपूर्ण उल्लंघन को उजागर करती हैं।
