Economic Times Markets · stocks

Persistent Systems' shares fell 5.03% to Rs 5,544 on Friday after the IT services company reported strong Q2 revenue growth. Consolidated revenue increased 7.8% quarter-on-quarter to $487.6 million, exceeding market expectations. However, profitability was impacted by elevated costs and integration expenses from the Nagarro acquisition, leading to a 100 basis point contraction in EBIT margin to 15%. Profit after tax also dropped 27.2% sequentially to Rs 351.51 crore. Brokerages offered mixed views, with some retaining Overweight and Outperform ratings despite margin pressures.
