8th Pay Commission May Increase Leave Encashment Limit

The 8th Pay Commission may bring a significant benefit for central government employees by potentially increasing the maximum limit for leave encashment. Currently capped at 300 days, a proposal suggests raising this to 450 days. This change would allow employees to receive cash for an additional 150 days of earned leave upon retirement. If approved, this would substantially increase the lump-sum payment received by retiring central government staff, potentially amounting to lakhs of rupees more. The All India Trade Union Congress has formally submitted this demand.

8वें वेतन आयोग से केंद्रीय सरकारी कर्मचारियों को एक बड़ा फायदा मिल सकता है। लीव एन्कैशमेंट की अधिकतम सीमा को बढ़ाया जा सकता है। अभी यह सीमा 300 दिनों की है, लेकिन एक प्रस्ताव में इसे बढ़ाकर 450 दिन करने का सुझाव दिया गया है। इस बदलाव से कर्मचारियों को रिटायरमेंट के समय अर्जित अवकाश के लिए अतिरिक्त 150 दिनों का नकद भुगतान मिल सकेगा। अगर यह मंजूर हो जाता है, तो रिटायर होने वाले केंद्रीय सरकारी कर्मचारियों को मिलने वाली एकमुश्त राशि में काफी बढ़ोतरी होगी, जो लाखों रुपये ज्यादा हो सकती है। ऑल इंडिया ट्रेड यूनियन कांग्रेस ने बाकायदा यह मांग पेश की है।
