Census 2027 Second Phase Training Crucial

The Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India has warned of a narrower margin for error in Census 2027's second phase due to numerous, sensitive questions. Rigorous training for nearly 34 lakh enumerators and supervisors is vital. The training will include gender sensitisation and respectful interaction. This phase, starting November 16, 2026, in select states, will ask 40 questions, including caste enumeration beyond SC/ST for the first time.

भारत के रजिस्ट्रार जनरल और जनगणना आयुक्त ने चेतावनी दी है कि जनगणना 2027 के दूसरे चरण में कई संवेदनशील सवालों के कारण गलती की गुंजाइश कम होगी। लगभग 34 लाख गणकों और पर्यवेक्षकों के लिए कड़ी ट्रेनिंग बहुत ज़रूरी है। इसमें लैंगिक संवेदनशीलता और सम्मानजनक बातचीत शामिल होगी। यह चरण 16 नवंबर, 2026 से कुछ राज्यों में शुरू होगा और इसमें 40 सवाल पूछे जाएंगे, जिसमें पहली बार SC/ST के अलावा जाति की गिनती भी होगी।
