Mahindra XUV 9S Becomes Top Selling Electric Car

Mahindra has overtaken Tata Motors in the Indian electric passenger vehicle market, with the XUV 9S becoming the top-selling electric car in August 2026. Mahindra sold 4,508 units of its 7-seater XUV 9S, narrowly beating the Tata Punch, which sold 4,430 units. This shift highlights the growing competition and consumer preference for larger electric SUVs in India. Despite this, Tata Motors remains the overall largest seller of electric cars due to its wider product portfolio.

महिंद्रा ने भारतीय इलेक्ट्रिक पैसेंजर व्हीकल मार्केट में टाटा मोटर्स को पीछे छोड़ दिया है। अगस्त 2026 में XUV 9S सबसे ज़्यादा बिकने वाली इलेक्ट्रिक कार बनी। महिंद्रा ने अपनी 7-सीटर XUV 9S की 4,508 यूनिट बेचीं, जबकि टाटा पंच ने 4,430 यूनिट बेचीं। यह दिखाता है कि भारत में बड़ी इलेक्ट्रिक SUVs की मांग बढ़ रही है। हालांकि, टाटा मोटर्स अभी भी अपने ज़्यादा मॉडल्स के कारण कुल मिलाकर सबसे बड़ी इलेक्ट्रिक कार विक्रेता है।
