Bihar Sanitation Workers to Strike From Nov 3 Over Unresolved Demands

Sanitation workers across Bihar, including those in Patna, will commence an indefinite strike due to the state government's alleged failure to address their long-pending demands. This decision follows assurances given in August during negotiations, which workers claim have not been fully implemented. The Bihar Local Bodies Employees Joint Struggle Front highlighted issues such as delayed salaries for daily-wage and outsourced staff, non-deposit of PF and ESI contributions, and pending regularization cases.
