Tamil Nadu Minister Urges Chennai Mayor To Support Govt Work, Not Obstruct

Tamil Nadu Revenue and Disaster Management Minister K A Sengottaiyan has called on Chennai Mayor R Priya to cooperate with government relief and civic initiatives instead of creating obstacles. He stated that the Chief Minister is actively monitoring flood mitigation and monsoon preparedness across the state to ensure public safety. Sengottaiyan urged the Mayor to assist the government's efforts, emphasizing that public service is accessible to all. He also commented on expected heavy rainfall in specific districts and defended recent police action against an NTK functionary.

तमिलनाडु के राजस्व और आपदा प्रबंधन मंत्री के. ए. सेंगोत्तैयन ने चेन्नई की मेयर आर. प्रिया से सरकारी राहत और नागरिक पहलों में सहयोग करने को कहा है, न कि बाधाएँ खड़ी करने को। उन्होंने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री राज्य भर में बाढ़ शमन और मानसून की तैयारियों की सक्रिय रूप से निगरानी कर रहे हैं ताकि जनता की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित की जा सके। सेंगोत्तैयन ने मेयर से सरकार के प्रयासों में सहायता करने का आग्रह किया, इस बात पर जोर देते हुए कि जन सेवा सभी के लिए सुलभ है। उन्होंने कुछ जिलों में भारी बारिश की उम्मीद पर भी टिप्पणी की और एक NTK पदाधिकारी के खिलाफ हालिया पुलिस कार्रवाई का बचाव किया।
