Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) is set to establish an independent Spine Sub-Specialty Unit within its orthopaedics department. This advanced unit aims to provide specialised treatment for complex spinal disorders and is expected to become functional by the end of this month. The creation of the unit follows state cabinet approval for 39 new posts at PMCH. Dr. Mahesh Prasad has been nominated as the in-charge, and the facility will focus on complicated spine surgeries and specialised care, marking a significant development for spine treatment in Bihar.
