Pune's Parashar Joshi, who once reached the piano round of Indian Idol Season 4, has transitioned to a career in cricket umpiring. He will now officiate in Australia's domestic cricket matches as part of an umpire exchange program between the BCCI and Cricket Australia. Joshi has previously umpired 19 first-class matches, 32 List-A matches, and 40 T20s, including IPL and Women's Premier League games. He is set to umpire Sheffield Shield and one-day cup matches in Brisbane and Sydney.
