Samsung's Texas Plant to Produce AMD, Nvidia Chip Parts

Samsung Electronics plans to utilize its second foundry plant in Taylor, Texas, for the production of base dies for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips. These chips are intended for major clients including AMD and Nvidia, according to a report citing industry sources. Construction is set to begin this month, with the plant employing advanced 2-nanometre technology. Mass production is anticipated to commence in 2030, with the facility already securing orders for its entire output, primarily from AMD.
