Centre agrees to lower NEET-SS cut-off

Times of India · education

The Centre has agreed to lower the qualifying percentile for NEET-SS admissions from the existing 50th to 30th for a special stray vacancy round. This decision, made after the Supreme Court nudged the government, aims to fill approximately 2,000 vacant super specialty medical seats. The round will be conducted soon, but students already admitted will not be allowed to participate or upgrade their seats. Over 1,850 seats remained vacant after the second round of counselling.
