Woman Wins Rs 86,200 From Wellness Clinic After Attending Only 4 of 10 Sessions

A Tamil Nadu district consumer commission has ordered a wellness clinic to refund Rs 51,200 to a woman who paid for a 10-session cryotherapy package but only attended four. The commission also awarded her Rs 25,000 for mental agony and Rs 10,000 for litigation costs. The clinic failed to provide treatment records to justify retaining the payment for unused sessions. While not accepting all claims, the commission ruled the clinic provided deficient service by not completing the paid package.

तमिलनाडु की एक जिला उपभोक्ता आयोग ने एक वेलनेस क्लिनिक को आदेश दिया है कि वह एक महिला को 51,200 रुपये वापस करे, जिसने 10 सेशन वाले क्रायोथेरेपी पैकेज के लिए भुगतान किया था लेकिन केवल चार में ही भाग लिया था। आयोग ने मानसिक पीड़ा के लिए 25,000 रुपये और मुकदमेबाजी की लागत के लिए 10,000 रुपये भी दिए। क्लिनिक अप्रयुक्त सेशन के लिए भुगतान बनाए रखने को सही ठहराने के लिए उपचार रिकॉर्ड प्रदान करने में विफल रहा। हालांकि सभी दावों को स्वीकार नहीं किया गया, आयोग ने फैसला सुनाया कि क्लिनिक ने भुगतान किए गए पैकेज को पूरा नहीं करके अपर्याप्त सेवा प्रदान की।
