UCSL Launches Largest Ever Vessel Built At Malpe Yard

Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL) has launched the largest vessel ever built at its Malpe yard, a 99-meter cargo ship valued at approximately 15 million euros. This 6,300-deadweight-tonne vessel is the first of eight being constructed for Norwegian company Wilson ASA. The launch marks a significant achievement for UCSL, as the ship is larger than the yard's typical design capacity. The vessel features advanced diesel-electric propulsion for fuel efficiency and lower emissions, and can be retrofitted with wind foils.
