A passenger ship carrying 240 people lost communication in the Java Sea near Indonesia on Sunday. The vessel, Virgo Transport 8, was en route from Surabaya to Banjarmasin when the failure occurred. Its last known position was approximately 148 kilometres from a pier in Banjarmasin. Rescue teams have been dispatched to locate the ship and ensure the safety of everyone on board.
