Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Near Trichy Airport On National Highway

A 60-year-old man, identified as M Arumugam from Thiruvalarchipatti, was killed in a hit-and-run incident on the Trichy-Pudukottai national highway near Trichy international airport. The accident occurred around 11 PM on Thursday when Arumugam was riding his two-wheeler home and was struck by an unidentified speeding car while attempting to cross the highway. He sustained severe injuries and was taken to MGMGH, where he passed away on Friday morning. South traffic police have registered a case and are actively searching for the vehicle involved in the fatal collision.
