The US-led discussions aim to address geopolitical crises impacting global economic shocks, including threats to freedom of navigation and food security. The meeting is intended to lay the groundwork for President Trump's upcoming G20 Leaders' Summit. Jaishankar will also participate in sideline meetings with Quad nations and later attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर अटलांटा में जी20 विदेश मंत्रियों की बैठक में भाग ले रहे हैं। इसमें ऊर्जा सप्लाई चेन को आसान बनाने और आर्थिक व सुरक्षा चुनौतियों पर सहयोग को मजबूत करने पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया जा रहा है। अमेरिका के नेतृत्व वाली चर्चाओं का उद्देश्य वैश्विक आर्थिक झटकों को प्रभावित करने वाले भू-राजनीतिक संकटों का समाधान करना है, जिसमें नेविगेशन की स्वतंत्रता और खाद्य सुरक्षा को खतरा भी शामिल है। इस बैठक का उद्देश्य राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप की आगामी जी20 नेताओं की शिखर बैठक की नींव रखना है। जयशंकर क्वाड देशों के साथ साइडलाइन बैठकों में भी भाग लेंगे और बाद में राष्ट्रमंडल शासनाध्यक्षों की बैठक में शामिल होंगे।
