A US district judge has partially granted Apple's request for early evidence in its trade secrets lawsuit against OpenAI. The judge ordered OpenAI to provide documents concerning the hiring of former Apple employees for its consumer hardware group, including internal communications and device evidence. This move aims to help Apple substantiate claims that former employees shared confidential information to aid OpenAI's hardware development. Apple filed the lawsuit in July, accusing OpenAI and two ex-employees of misappropriating trade secrets and breaching confidentiality agreements by using Apple's proprietary information for hardware development.
