India to Support Agrivoltaics Under PM KUSUM 2.0 Scheme

The Indian government plans to support the installation of agrivoltaic capacity nationwide under the second phase of the PM KUSUM scheme. Agrivoltaics, or agrisolar, combines agricultural production with solar power generation on the same land. The government aims to add approximately 5 GW of agrivoltaic capacity within three years, potentially replacing Component A of the current scheme. This initiative seeks to neutralize the additional cost of agrivoltaic setups, ensuring tariffs remain competitive with ground-mounted solar projects. The policy aims to boost farmers' incomes by enabling dual land use.

भारत पीएम कुसुम 2.0 योजना के तहत एग्रीवोल्टेक्स को देगा समर्थन

भारत सरकार पीएम कुसुम योजना के दूसरे चरण के तहत पूरे देश में एग्रीवोल्टेइक क्षमता की स्थापना का समर्थन करने की योजना बना रही है। एग्रीवोल्टेक्स, या एग्रीसोलर, एक ही भूमि पर कृषि उत्पादन को सौर ऊर्जा उत्पादन के साथ जोड़ता है। सरकार का लक्ष्य तीन साल के भीतर लगभग 5 GW एग्रीवोल्टेइक क्षमता जोड़ना है, जो वर्तमान योजना के कंपोनेंट A को संभावित रूप से बदल सकता है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य एग्रीवोल्टेइक सेटअप की अतिरिक्त लागत को बेअसर करना है, जिससे टैरिफ ग्राउंड-माउंटेड सौर परियोजनाओं के साथ प्रतिस्पर्धी बने रहें। नीति का उद्देश्य दोहरे भूमि उपयोग को सक्षम करके किसानों की आय को बढ़ावा देना है।
