The apex court found the proposed red hexagon symbol acceptable in principle but sought clarity on scientific thresholds, symbol size, and potential confusion with other markers. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने FSSAI के पैक वाले खाने पर सामने चेतावनी लेबल लगाने के प्रस्ताव में दखल दिया है। कोर्ट ने लाल हेक्सागन सिंबल को तो ठीक माना, लेकिन वैज्ञानिक मापदंडों, सिंबल के आकार और दूसरे चिह्नों से भ्रम पर सफाई मांगी है। कोर्ट ने लोगों के स्वास्थ्य, खासकर बच्चों के स्वास्थ्य को लेकर चिंता जताई है। FSSAI पहले भी कंपनियों को भ्रामक दावों के लिए नोटिस दे चुकी है, जिससे बड़ी और नई दोनों तरह की कंपनियों पर असर पड़ा है।
