Woman, Daughter Murdered Over Land Dispute; 7 Arrested in West Singhbhum

Seven individuals have been arrested in West Singhbhum district for the alleged murder of a 68-year-old woman, Kuni Kui, and her 27-year-old daughter, Namsi Birua. The victims were reportedly killed over a land dispute concerning agricultural land boundaries. Their bodies were allegedly burned and their remains buried in a cave. Police initiated a search after the women went missing on October 13. The motive appears to stem from ongoing disputes involving relatives and villagers over property. Investigations are ongoing to apprehend additional suspects.
