Election Observer Removed Over BJP Rebel MLC's Complaint

The Election Commission has removed Abhay Singh, the election observer for the Gorakhpur-Faizabad MLC constituency, following a complaint by rebel BJP MLC Devendra Pratap Singh. The complaint alleged involvement in illegal mining and recovery of cash from his residence during a CBI raid. The EC has appointed 2009 batch IAS officer Prakash Bindu as the new observer for the seat's counting. Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party has written to the returning officer of the Lucknow Graduates constituency seeking details of booth-wise voters and votes cast.

चुनाव पर्यवेक्षक को हटाया गया बीजेपी के बागी एमएलसी की शिकायत के बाद

चुनाव आयोग ने गोरखपुर-फैजाबाद एमएलसी सीट के चुनाव पर्यवेक्षक अभय सिंह को बागी बीजेपी एमएलसी देवेंद्र प्रताप सिंह की शिकायत के बाद हटा दिया है। शिकायत में अवैध खनन में संलिप्तता और सीबीआई की छापेमारी के दौरान उनके आवास से नकदी बरामद होने का आरोप लगाया गया था। आयोग ने इस सीट की मतगणना के लिए 2009 बैच के आईएएस अधिकारी प्रकाश बिंदु को नया पर्यवेक्षक नियुक्त किया है। वहीं, समाजवादी पार्टी ने लखनऊ स्नातक क्षेत्र के रिटर्निंग ऑफिसर को बूथ-वार मतदाताओं और डाले गए वोटों का विवरण मांगा है।
