Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani has warned that the global energy shockwaves stemming from the US-Israel war on Iran have not yet reached their peak. Speaking at the Global Security Forum in Doha, he highlighted risks to energy supplies, international trade, and economic growth. Al Thani noted that Iranian strikes in March damaged Qatar's Ras Laffan industrial complex, with repairs expected to take years. He emphasized the need for continued communication with Iran and expressed hope for mediation efforts to achieve a sustainable regional settlement.
