Bollywood's Unlucky 'Karz' Title: 9 Films Failed at Box Office

TV9 Hindi · entertainment

The title 'Karz' has proven notoriously unlucky in Bollywood, with nine films bearing the name or featuring it prominently failing to achieve box office success. The 1980 Rishi Kapoor starrer 'Karz' had hit songs but was commercially unsuccessful, reportedly leading Kapoor into depression. Later, Himmesh Reshammiya's remake also flopped, earning only ₹16 crore against a ₹24 crore budget. Other films like 'Karz: The Burden of Truth' and 'Doodh Ka Karz' also performed poorly.
