Music Composer Deva's Native Village Mourns His Death; Rites On Farmland

Legendary music composer ‘Thenisai Thendral’ Deva's native village, Pazhaya Mangadu in Ranipet district, is in deep mourning following his demise. His final rites are scheduled to take place on his farmland at Sakkaramallur, near Arcot, on Sunday afternoon. Officials have begun preparations for the ceremony, which will be conducted with full state honours. Deva maintained a strong connection to his roots, visiting his village annually and generously donating land for housing and funding the construction of a local temple.

लीजेंड्री संगीतकार ‘थेनिसई थेंड्रल’ देवा का पैतृक गांव, रानीपेट जिले के पझया मंगडु, उनके निधन से गहरे शोक में है। रविवार दोपहर को अरकोट के पास सक्करा मल्लूर में उनके खेत में अंतिम संस्कार होना तय है। अधिकारियों ने समारोह की तैयारियां शुरू कर दी हैं, जो पूरे राजकीय सम्मान के साथ किया जाएगा। देवा का अपनी जड़ों से गहरा जुड़ाव था, वह सालाना अपने गांव आते थे और उन्होंने मकानों के लिए जमीन दान करने और स्थानीय मंदिर के निर्माण के लिए धन देने में उदारता दिखाई थी।
