Jharkhand Durga Puja Preparations Hit By IMD Yellow Alert For Thunderstorms

Times of India · environment

IMD has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds across Jharkhand from Wednesday. This forecast raises concerns for Durga Puja preparations, as final stages of pandal construction and outdoor arrangements could be disrupted. Intermittent rain and thunderstorms may delay painting, decoration, and electrical installations. Organisers fear damage to materials, waterlogging, and hampered lighting work. Many are focusing on waterproofing and drainage while closely monitoring forecasts for crucial final touch-ups before the festival begins.
