ISRO Official: TRISHNA Satellite Realisation Advanced, Launch in 12-16 Months

The Indo-French TRISHNA satellite, designed for high-resolution natural resource assessment, is in the advanced realization stage, with launch expected in 12 to 16 months. This marks the third joint satellite project between India and France, following Megha-Tropiques and SARAL. The mission aims for better water resource management through visible and thermal infrared Earth observation. Both ISRO and CNES will jointly process the data, which will be disseminated globally under an open data policy.

भारत और फ्रांस का TRISHNA सैटेलाइट, जो हाई-रिज़ॉल्यूशन प्राकृतिक संसाधन मूल्यांकन के लिए बनाया गया है, अब काफी बन चुका है और इसके 12 से 16 महीनों में लॉन्च होने की उम्मीद है। यह भारत और फ्रांस के बीच तीसरा संयुक्त सैटेलाइट प्रोजेक्ट है, जो Megha-Tropiques और SARAL के बाद आया है। इस मिशन का मकसद विज़िबल और थर्मल इन्फ्रारेड पृथ्वी अवलोकन के ज़रिए बेहतर जल संसाधन प्रबंधन करना है। ISRO और CNES दोनों मिलकर डेटा को प्रोसेस करेंगे, जिसे ओपन डेटा पॉलिसी के तहत दुनिया भर में बांटा जाएगा।
