The Hindu · india

Telangana will strongly advocate for resolving pending bifurcation issues with Andhra Pradesh at a Ministry of Home Affairs meeting on October 22. The state government has tasked Planning Secretary Gaurav Uppal with presenting its case, given his prior experience with the Ministry. Many issues, including the division of assets from Schedule IX and X institutions, remain unresolved over 12 years after the state's division. The meeting's agenda includes apportionment of institutions, centrally sponsored schemes, public debt, and reimbursement for common facilities used by Andhra Pradesh.
