Teacher Trainees Must Teach Adults Under ULLAS Scheme

Hindustan Times · education

Students in teacher education courses recognised by the NCTE will now be required to teach five to eight non-literate adults as part of the Centre's ULLAS initiative. Academic credits will be linked to the successful certification of these learners. New guidelines released by the Union education ministry make this participation mandatory for various B.Ed., M.Ed., and D.El.Ed. programmes. This move aims to empower student teachers and contribute to national literacy efforts by integrating practical adult education experience into their training.
