Times of India · sports

The Fencing Association of India has issued a stern warning to its athletes after a medal-less performance at the Asian Games. The federation expressed concern that excessive social media activity, including making reels, is diverting attention from crucial training and performance. FAI secretary general Rajeev Mehta emphasized that sporting stature is determined by results on the piste, not online popularity. Athletes are urged to focus on training, discipline, and earning their place through consistent performance in upcoming tournaments to represent India.
