Coastal Road Link Between Kollam and Koyilandy Harbour Completed With Two New Bridges

A new coastal road connecting Koyilandy harbour with Kollam Angadi is now a reality following the completion of two bridges. These bridges, built across Cheriyathodu and Koothavallythodu canals at a cost of ₹1.16 crore, provide fisherfolk direct access to Koyilandy harbour. The concrete carriageway was constructed to withstand sea erosion and tidal ingress. This route will benefit fishing communities by facilitating easier access to the harbour and also serve as an alternative for small vehicles during traffic disruptions.

कोयिलंडी बंदरगाह और कोल्लम के बीच तटीय सड़क पूरी दो नए पुलों का निर्माण कार्य संपन्न

कोयिलंडी बंदरगाह को कोल्लम अंगडी से जोड़ने वाली एक नई तटीय सड़क अब दो पुलों के पूरा होने के साथ हकीकत बन गई है। चेरियथोडू और कूथावल्लीथोडू नहरों पर ₹1.16 करोड़ की लागत से बने इन पुलों से मछुआरों को सीधे कोयिलंडी बंदरगाह तक पहुंचने की सुविधा मिलेगी। कंक्रीट कैरिजवे को समुद्री कटाव और ज्वार के प्रवेश का सामना करने के लिए बनाया गया था। यह मार्ग मछली पकड़ने वाले समुदायों को बंदरगाह तक आसान पहुंच प्रदान करके लाभान्वित करेगा और यातायात बाधित होने पर छोटे वाहनों के लिए एक वैकल्पिक मार्ग के रूप में भी काम करेगा।
