Union Minister L Murugan Resigns From Cabinet, President Accepts

President Droupadi Murmu has accepted the resignation of Union Minister Dr L Murugan from the Council of Ministers with immediate effect. Dr Murugan, who served as the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, also resigned from his Rajya Sabha membership. He expressed his desire to return to grassroots politics to strengthen the BJP in Tamil Nadu for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.

राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने केंद्रीय मंत्री डॉ. एल. मुरुगन का मंत्रिपरिषद से तत्काल प्रभाव से इस्तीफा स्वीकार कर लिया है। सूचना एवं प्रसारण और संसदीय कार्य राज्य मंत्री रहे डॉ. मुरुगन ने राज्यसभा की सदस्यता से भी इस्तीफा दे दिया है। उन्होंने 2029 के लोकसभा चुनावों के लिए तमिलनाडु में भाजपा को मजबूत करने के लिए जमीनी राजनीति में लौटने की इच्छा जताई है।
