Panama's government has declared a state of emergency following two powerful earthquakes and over 100 aftershocks that rattled communities across the nation. While no deaths have been reported, the seismic activity caused damage to homes, schools, healthcare facilities, roads, and hotels in all 10 provinces and two Indigenous territories. Officials reported 27 injuries, with most damage concentrated in central provinces. Evacuations were prompted, and some communities remain cut off due to landslides and damaged roads, leaving residents awaiting further guidance.
