Indian benchmark indices continued to trade with significant losses in mid-afternoon trade, with the Nifty falling below the 22,700 level. The S&P BSE Sensex declined 387.89 points, while the Nifty 50 index dropped 119 points. Investor sentiment remained cautious due to rising crude oil prices and global bond yields. The Nifty IT index saw a substantial decline, plunging 1.34% and marking its eighth consecutive day of losses.
