Telangana HC Disqualifies MLA Danam Nagender

The Telangana High Court has set aside the Speaker's order and declared Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender disqualified from the Legislative Assembly. Nagender contested the Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat on a Congress ticket after being elected as an MLA on a BRS ticket. The court ruled his disqualification effective from April 23, 2024. This decision stems from petitions filed by BRS MLAs challenging his defection and contesting another election without resigning.

तेलंगाना हाई कोर्ट ने स्पीकर के आदेश को रद्द कर दिया है और खैराताबाद के MLA दानम नागेंद्र को विधानसभा से अयोग्य घोषित कर दिया है। नागेंद्र BRS टिकट पर MLA चुने जाने के बाद कांग्रेस के टिकट पर सिकंदराबाद लोकसभा सीट से चुनाव लड़े थे। कोर्ट ने कहा कि उनकी अयोग्यता 23 अप्रैल 2024 से प्रभावी है। यह फैसला BRS MLA द्वारा उनकी दल-बदल और इस्तीफा दिए बिना दूसरा चुनाव लड़ने को चुनौती देने वाली याचिकाओं पर आया है।
