POK Internet Shutdown Exceeds 100 Days

Internet access in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir has been severely restricted for over 100 days, with mobile data and broadband services disrupted. This partial internet shutdown, which began on June 5, has impacted daily life, commercial activity, and academic schedules, forcing the postponement of entrance examinations. The restrictions followed a protest movement demanding electoral reforms and changes to the political system, leading to clashes and a crackdown on the JKJAAC organisation.

पाकिस्तान के कब्जे वाले कश्मीर में 100 दिनों से ज़्यादा समय से इंटरनेट सेवाएँ बुरी तरह बाधित हैं। मोबाइल डेटा और ब्रॉडबैंड बंद होने से लोगों की रोज़मर्रा की ज़िंदगी, व्यापार और पढ़ाई पर असर पड़ा है। यहाँ तक कि प्रवेश परीक्षाएँ भी टालनी पड़ी हैं। यह सब चुनावी सुधारों की माँग को लेकर हुए विरोध प्रदर्शनों के बाद हुआ, जिसमें झड़पें और JKJAAC संगठन पर कार्रवाई शामिल थी।
