Supreme Court to Hear TN Govt Plea

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a plea from the Tamil Nadu government concerning the Thirupparankundram temple. During the hearing, the court questioned the existence of a tradition of lighting lamps on the temple's pillar. The Tamil Nadu government stated that there are no historical records to support such a practice.
