Two workers died of asphyxiation following an alleged gas leak at a pharmaceutical factory in Telangana's Sangareddy district on Friday morning. The incident occurred at a manufacturing unit in Gaddapotharam village, which produces active pharmaceutical ingredients and drug intermediates. The deceased workers, identified as Sudarshan and Balaji, hailed from Andhra Pradesh. Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and the gas leak. Separately, a fire broke out at another pharma unit in Andhra Pradesh's Anakapalli district, but no casualties were reported.
