LIC Shares Dip 4% After Q2 Profit Misses Estimates; Weak APE Growth Noted
Business Standard · stocks
LIC saw its shares fall by 4% following the announcement of its second-quarter financial results. The company reported a 20.12 per cent year-on-year increase in net profit, reaching ₹12,076 crore for the second quarter of FY2026-27. However, the value of new business (VNB) for the period did not meet expectations, and annual premium equivalent (APE) growth remained weak. This performance led to a decline in investor confidence, reflected in the stock's movement.
