Chennai Tax Employee Dies After Fall While Evading Police Questioning

A 42-year-old Commercial Taxes department employee in Chennai died after falling from a building's third floor while trying to escape police. The deceased, R. Rajapandian, was being questioned in connection with a harassment case. Police had visited his residence after he allegedly contacted the complainant again. Rajapandian attempted to flee by jumping onto an adjacent roof, which collapsed, leading to his fatal fall. Puzhal police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
