Opposition parties under the INDIA bloc will hold a mock parliament session at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence to symbolically "impeach" chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. This move escalates their campaign accusing the election authority of undermining democratic safeguards. The scripted session will see Mallikarjun Kharge move the resolution, with Rahul Gandhi delivering the final speech. Former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar will preside over the proceedings. The Opposition stated they were denied permission to hold the session at the Ashoka Hotel and Ramlila Maidan.
