Harvard Asian-American Representation Hits Record High Post Affirmative Action Ban
India Today · education
Three years after the US Supreme Court ended affirmative action, Harvard University has seen a record increase in Asian-American students within its incoming class. The Class of 2030 features 43.2% Asian-American students, a significant rise from previous years. Concurrently, representation for Black or African-American students has declined for three consecutive years, and Hispanic or Latino representation has also fallen overall since the ruling. This shift raises questions about Harvard's past admissions policies and their impact on merit-based admissions.
