Insurers Urge Gradual Commission Cuts From Irdai

Insurance companies have requested a more gradual implementation of proposed commission cuts from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Irdai). Following a consultation paper suggesting lower expense-of-management limits and reduced commissions, Irdai Chairman Ajay Seth met with insurer executives. During the meeting, companies sought differentiated expense limits and relaxed norms for group credit life insurance.
