Balaji Tharaneetharan's 'Baththa' Set for Release

Director Balaji Tharaneetharan is releasing his new film, Baththa, eight years after his last theatrical release. The film, starring Vijay Sethupathi, is set in 1980s North Madras and focuses on the human aspect of a local gangster. Tharaneetharan drew inspiration from his childhood experiences in Triplicane for the movie's setting.
