Kolkata's Chinese heritage, a lesser-documented chapter of the city's diverse culture, now has a dedicated space. The Cheenapara Heritage Gallery, unveiled in central Kolkata, focuses on the community's history in Tiretta Bazaar. Through photographs, historical documents, everyday objects, and ritual artefacts, the gallery offers a glimpse into the community's life. Items on display include calligraphy sets, sauce bottles, an abacus, temple seals, and a mahjong set, showcasing work, worship, and leisure. This initiative aims to further develop the Cheena Para area and its food street.
