Mini-truck carrying liquor crashes in Bihar; locals loot bottles

Hindustan Times · india

A mini-truck loaded with alcohol crashed into a road divider in Bihar on Friday, leading to a mass looting of liquor bottles by local residents. The driver and cleaner fled the scene following the accident near Kharhat Toll Plaza. Despite the state's strict prohibition law enacted in 2016, dozens of people, including women and children, rushed to the spot to collect the spilled alcohol. Police are reviewing CCTV footage and social media videos to identify and arrest those involved in the liquor loot.
