Relative Gets Life Imprisonment For Raping 5-Year-Old Relative

A special Pocso court in Muzaffarnagar has sentenced a 40-year-old man to life imprisonment for kidnapping and raping a 5-year-old relative in 2024. The court based its decision on the child's testimony and medical evidence, rejecting the accused's defense of false implication due to a land dispute. The man was convicted under relevant sections of the Pocso Act and the new Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. He also received seven years of rigorous imprisonment for kidnapping and a fine of Rs 60,000, which will be paid to the survivor as compensation.

मुजफ्फरनगर की एक विशेष Pocso अदालत ने 2024 में 5 साल की रिश्तेदार को अगवा कर रेप करने के मामले में 40 वर्षीय व्यक्ति को उम्रकैद की सज़ा सुनाई है। अदालत ने ज़मीन विवाद के चलते झूठे फंसाए जाने के आरोपी के बचाव को खारिज करते हुए बच्चे की गवाही और मेडिकल सबूतों के आधार पर यह फैसला सुनाया। उस व्यक्ति को Pocso एक्ट और नई भारतीय न्याय संहिता की संबंधित धाराओं के तहत दोषी ठहराया गया। उसे अपहरण के लिए सात साल की कड़ी कैद और 60,000 रुपये का जुर्माना भी मिला, जो पीड़ित को मुआवज़े के तौर पर दिया जाएगा।
