The BCCI has announced a 15-member India A squad for their upcoming tour of New Zealand. Young wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel has been appointed as the captain, leading a team that includes established players like KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Rishabh Pant has also been included in the squad, but his participation is contingent on medical fitness clearance. This decision to appoint Jurel as captain, despite the presence of senior players, highlights the selectors' confidence in his leadership potential for the three-match unofficial Test series.
