Uttar Pradesh government has released a new policy for character verification of candidates selected for direct recruitment in government services. The policy categorizes criminal offenses into five levels, specifying which charges or convictions can lead to disqualification. Applicants hiding details of criminal cases, arrests, or history may face appointment cancellation and legal action. This integrated policy, issued by the Additional Chief Secretary, aligns with Allahabad High Court directives and applies to government departments, corporations, educational institutions, and local bodies.

उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने सरकारी सेवाओं में सीधी भर्ती के लिए चयनित उम्मीदवारों के चरित्र सत्यापन के लिए एक नई नीति जारी की है। नीति में आपराधिक अपराधों को पांच स्तरों में बांटा गया है, जिसमें बताया गया है कि किन आरोपों या दोषसिद्धि पर उम्मीदवारी रद्द की जा सकती है। आपराधिक मामलों, गिरफ्तारी या इतिहास के विवरण छिपाने वाले आवेदकों को नियुक्ति रद्द होने और कानूनी कार्रवाई का सामना करना पड़ सकता है। अपर मुख्य सचिव द्वारा जारी इस एकीकृत नीति का उद्देश्य इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट के निर्देशों का पालन करना है और यह सरकारी विभागों, निगमों, शैक्षणिक संस्थानों और स्थानीय निकायों पर लागू होगी।
